Pet Memorials

In Loving Memory

Honouring and remembering the pets we have helped transition across the rainbow bridge.
Please send us an email if you would like to honour your pet’s memory.

Gertie

Thank you so much for your kindness on Saturday.   We really appreciated how thoughtful and caring you were and while it was extremely hard to say goodbye to her, it couldn’t have been a more perfect way for her to leave us.

Nya

Nya,
We were blessed to have our sweet girl as a part of our family for almost 16yrs.  Our constant companion. A family member. The soul of our home.  Giving us unconditional love and support, laughs and so soo much joy!  We will remember all the lessons she taught us.  To always be curious, up for adventure, to love without measure and find happiness in everyday routines.  We will forever be grateful the “Sassy one” chose us. Thank you Cute Little Noodle Nya Papaya.
Always in our hearts, Sherri, Steve and Nolan

Levi

Our sweet Levi was our first baby. Alongside his brother Baxter, he came into our lives bringing more love and energy than we ever could have imagined. Levi was the runt of the litter—a tiny black puffball—and from the very beginning, he and Baxter were inseparable.

Together, they explored Halifax Nova Scotia, running through Point Pleasant Park, strolling along the boardwalk, and wrestling endlessly in the Commons. Levi adored belly rubs and took great pride in being the instigator of every play fight.

When Levi was just four years old, he was diagnosed with chronic liver disease and given only 18 months to live. Thanks to some truly incredible doctors, we were given a miracle—eight more beautiful years with him.

In those years, Levi moved across the country with us, welcomed a baby sister in 2018, and patiently endured the chaos of lockdown (including some questionable haircuts when things got tough). He welcomed another sister in 2021 and became the most loving, gentle, living stuffed animal—happily participating in dress-up, delighting in interactive snack time, and even riding his sister’s tricycle (very much by his own request).

We loved this boy with all our hearts for almost 13 amazing years. He was the best friend any of us could have asked for, and we will miss him forever. Our home feels so quiet without you, Levi. Bedtime is less snuggly, and your familiar dinner-time whines have left an ache in our hearts. We know Baxter was happy to welcome you across the rainbow bridge and you are together again!

Thank you for sharing your life with us, Levi. We were truly blessed to spend it by your side

Maggie

Maggie truly kickstarted our family. She was the icebreaker for my husband to introduce himself when he saw us, the same day I adopted her at the age of 7. We had the pleasure of 7 more years with her, before she gained her wings.

The best way to describe our girl – she truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She was unapologetically Maggie. Though if you were one of the lucky few that she let into her circle, you got to see her big, beautiful, bold personality. Her way of showing affection was through closeness, always preferring to be curled up at your side.

On her last days with us, Maggie enjoyed a plethora of food-firsts: pancakes, timbits, a burger & fries, and a pup cup. These last days were some of her best in recent months. She swam in the river, walked along the beach, and most memorably, playfully ran after her dad.

In the words of Christ Stapleton – “Run Maggie run, with the heart of a rebel child, oh run Maggie run, be just as free as you are wild”. You’ll forever be in our hearts, our sweet, wild girl.

Korra

Korra was the sweetest girl, the best dog anyone could ask for. She brought so much joy and light into every room she entered, and everyone who met her instantly fell in love. Her comfort, smiling face, and wagging tail, she was the happiest girl. Roaming through the trees or on the beach, she loved taking in all the sniffs, and chasing bunnies and swallows. Korra was so deeply loved, and the emptiness she is leaving in our lives is bigger than ever imagined. We will love you forever, sweet girl Korra.

🤍🐾

Bitten

Forever loved and forever missed, you will never be forgotten. 🐾

Sasha

Sasha was a beloved cat with a big personality who loved to be in the middle of everything. Always saying hello and “talking” to anyone who came to visit.

Max

Max was rescued by Angels Under Our Wings Cocker Spaniel Rescue, in 2010, when he was a puppy. He came to us as a scared and very shy boy. With training and trust, he became a confident and loving boy who won every heart he met. He loved swimming, kayaking, chasing after his ball, going on adventures to Sechelt, the Okanagon, Tofino, and Parksville, volunteering at events and taking in foster dogs. Once he trusted, Max’s heart was huge. He let so many dogs in, whether it was over night or for a few weeks. He taught them that there were good people in this world that will love them.
There would be never be enough words to describe how Max affected so many lives. His smile, his “talking,” his love of life, were infectious as is the emptiness of his passing. We will remember him and all the good and love he brought into the world and he will be missed by so many.
Run free my itty bitty boy, run free.

Star

Star had her own way of loving—never overly cuddly, but always choosing when it mattered most. I’ll never forget the nights she’d quietly jump onto the bed, walk her way up, and softly meow just to let me know she was there before settling in close. Those small moments meant everything. She was my best friend, my comfort, and my whole heart. She will always be deeply loved and never forgotten.

Abby

We had to say a very difficult goodbye to our beautiful Abby on March 18th

She came to us as a 2 1/2 year old rescue dog from Los Angelas 12 ½ years ago and she changed our lives forever! The love and joy she gave to all of us in our family is immeasurable and so hard to describe. We have lost a huge part of our family and life will never be the same again. We will always hold the love she had for us and the love we had for her in our hearts forever and remember her always with the thousands of pictures and videos that we have of her on our phones!!!

You were the Best Abby…you stayed as long as you could with us…Now it is time for you to rest pain free.
