In Loving Memory
Honouring and remembering the pets we have helped transition across the rainbow bridge.
Please send us an email if you would like to honour your pet’s memory.
Harvey
Harvey came to us when he was 11 months old. We were his third home, and from the moment we met, we knew we were meant to be together. As soon as we got in the car together, he exhaled and relaxed entirely into my chest. He gazed up at me with love in his eyes and then fell fast asleep in my arms. In the 13 years we spent together, he never stopped doing this. It was clear from the very start that we were soulmates.
Harvey was passionate about his people, and we felt the same about him. There was rarely a time that he wasn’t in our laps or snuggled in our arms. I’m quite sure he believed he was a human baby and acted as such.
Harvey loved running freely on the beach – the ocean air in his fur. Zoomies as fast as he could and then running back to us with the happiest puppy grin on his sweet face. When illness and pain had taken over his little body in the last few months and he could no longer run like he used to, he still loved going to the beach to watch the birds and the waves while we snuggled in his blankie. This was how we spent his last days together – including the morning of his passing – in his happy place in the ocean air.
The loss of our sweet Harvey has left a deep hole of grief in our hearts that can never be filled, but I am so grateful for the years of unconditional love that we shared together and that he is no longer in pain. I am so grateful for the care and compassion of Resting Paws and that our precious boy was able to pass away peacefully in the comfort of our home and in our arms – surrounded by love and endless kisses.
We love you forever, sweet Harvey
Tucker
I found you at work and the family asked if i wanted you. Little did I know how much you would bring to our lives. You were the most special boy, you loved everyone, you gave the best cuddles and you saved me when we lost another pup. You were my sunshine Tucker.
We will meet you at that bridge one day and boy what a day that will be when we reunite again.
Run with your brothers and sisters. In our hearts forever.
Tia
Tia
You’ve been a constant presence in my life, and especially this past year, after the passing of my wife, your companionship meant more than words can say.
For 13 and a half years, you were not just a pet—you were a true friend, a loyal companion, and a beloved, vital member of the family.
Now it’s time for you to run free, and be with Mom.
You were deeply loved by all who knew you, and your absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
You will be forever missed.
Until we meet again…
George
After many years of a life well lived and adventures galore, sweet George said his final farewell at home with his family by his side.
Handsome George was a beloved member of the Resting Paws family and his presence will be missed by all those who loved him and cared for him.
“I am a sailor, you’re my first mate,
We signed on together, we coupled our fate,
Hauled up our anchor, determined not to fail,
For the hearts treasure, together we set sail.”
~ excerpt from The Voyage, by Christy Moore
Artoo
Artoo has left this world but I will never forget him. He was the sweetest cuddliest little angel guy who charmed everyone he met immediately. He slept in my arms or on my head every night and was in my lap whenever I sat down, a constant loving presence in my life. A lover of sunbeams, cuddles, tents, bugs, and people. He loved meeting new people and would greet them with a meow that sounded like “Wow”. When he wasn’t firmly seated in my lap he would be in my chair waiting for me to return, or in one of the many blanket forts I would build him on a couch or chair. Artoo got me through the hardest times in my life, I loved him deeply and he will always be missed.
Tika
Tika was the truest form of unconditional love. She gave the sweetest hugs that would knock you over and the sneakiest kisses when you least expected it. These hugs and kisses were random and always just to show she cared; never for treats. She was our best friend and our strength and will continue to light up our world forever.
Princess Tink
“Princess Tink was more then just a cat I rescued from a trash dumpster, she instantly became my world, she was a chatty cat that had and followed her own rules that I learned quickly to accommodate. She gave us many laughs and purrs that cured grief instantly, she will never ever be forgotten and missed tremendously”
Shady
This picture of our sweet little Shady shows why his name is that, as in this picture he looks black, brown and grey all at once.
We are missing our friend very much but are so thankful for your compassion and caring nature as we said goodbye to him.
Many thanks again to your beautiful, loving team.
Cooper
Cooper, our dear little sweet boy gave us 11 1/2 years of pure love! He was a love bug & greeted every person on our street before even greeting their dog.
We will miss his multiple kisses and his dancing paws as he stood up on his hind legs, so excited to greet us every time we came home or entered a room! Rest in peace sweet boy! You will always have a special place in our hearts! 💔
We will see you one day on the other side of the rainbow! 🌈
Kook
For Kook, he had a funny little crooked tail but his heart was true. He was always game for pets and affection, he could never get enough!
I will miss the way he’d paw at me to say “don’t stop!”
He will be dearly missed and the memory of his antics will forever live on in our hearts.
