Pet Memorials

In Loving Memory

Honouring and remembering the pets we have helped transition across the rainbow bridge.
Please send us an email if you would like to honour your pet’s memory.

Tia

Tia was such a wonderful little good/bad dog.  Loved the bones of her.  Always looking for food and pets.  She was my constant companion for 9 years.  She was so wonderful with my daughter, always careful.  I loved how she took her toys outside and left them, only to go get them hours later – making sure they had a nice time outside too.  My sweet girl will be missed deeply.

Domino

We’ll always treasure the memories of his happy, smiling face, love of rear-end scratches, meat treats, long walks, camping, and how much he loved being around his human family. He was the bestest boy in the world, and he’s already deeply missed.

Dug

He was such a good boy. He moved with us from Regina to Ottawa to Halifax back to Ottawa and then here to Vic. He was always so amazing in the car. He’d sniff for a bit and then just lay down and snooze! We loved taking him on adventures and he was always so happy. One of our favourite memories is of when we took him to Parksville last August and let him wander through the water. You could see on his face how happy and excited he was!! It was so awesome 💕 I’ll never forget how happy he was 🙂 It makes me cry and smile at the same time 🙂
I don’t know what else to say other than we loved him so much and we were a good pack 🙂

Hope

Hope. I named her this because she came into our lives at a time when we needed to feel hope the most. She delivered that and far more than we could have asked for, and she will keep hope with us forever.

She was best adventure dog around and joined us on so many hikes and trips, especially the snowy ones (as long as there were no flies around — those were her biggest fear and where she’d draw a hard line in her adventuring).

She exceeded all expectations being a Bernese Mountain Dog and graced us with nearly 13 years of pure bouncy joy. Even when her hind legs began to fail, she gave her all to maintain every bit of bounce she had left. It was impossible not to have a smile on your face when around her.

She is greatly missed by us, by all of her many, many animal friends, and many human friends alike. She was one of the most loved dogs around and got to live a wonderful, full, and long life.

Goodbye our little Mini.

Willow

Willow, who did nothing but love us and crave our company, deserved to live forever.  If the love any entity gives is their value, Willow was beyond estimable worth. Willow was a very athletic and energetic dog. When she was younger, she accompanied Jodi on mountain bike rides.  In this shot, she is taking a break after an energetic run. This shot shows off her unique tongue!

Hamley

Hamley’s biggest love was to hang out at the beach with his two favourite people.
We miss him more than I can express. He dug a hole of love in our hearts where he will always remain.

Abby

Abby was a good doggo that always wanted to help with a cuddled or a lick.

Who reluctantly let me take her on adventures even though she would rather be snoozing in a sunbeam.

Juno

Rest easy, our sweet Juno. October 14th 2015 – April 4th 2026
Our hearts are completely broken. Yesterday, we said goodbye to our sweet Juno.
For over 10 years, Juno was the gentle soul of our home. She was the most loyal companion we could have ever asked for—always wanting to be near us and especially following Dave everywhere she could.
This year has been incredibly difficult as she battled osteosarcoma, but through it all, she never lost her sweet nature. She remained the same gentle, loving girl until the very end, still doing her best to be the constant companion she always loved to be.
While the house feels far too quiet today, we are finding peace knowing she is finally free from pain and back on her feet again.
We want to truly thank our family, friends, and neighbours for your incredible support during this time. To those who visited her and helped us through these last few months—it meant the world to us and to Juno.
Thank you for ten beautiful years, Juno. You are loved beyond measure. 🌈🐾

Kesler

“Because of the dog’s joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

— Mary Oliver

Fergus

Fergus McDuff was one of the greats!  A happy, carefree, energetic, people-loving goofball who’s eyes could look deep into your soul.  We are so grateful that he chose us to raise him from a puppy to an Elder, and he will be cherished in our hearts for all of eternity.
