Sister came to us ( named Daisy ) from Pacific Cat clinic in August of 2010. She was a very shy 3 month old kitten. Sister had been rescued along with her 2 siblings after being abandoned by her mother and being raised by a 20 year old male cat. She was also looked after and fed by a momma dog who kept them safe. When we got her, she loved to hide and we were always asking the other adopted sibling (named Askher ) “Where is your Sister?” Thus the name changed to Sister.
She was a very shy, petite girl but very much attached to Stéphane, either sleeping on top of him or under the bed covers or on his lap. She liked our dog Sarge and would ignore or fight with Askher. Sister would hide anytime someone new came to the house UNTIL the day 3 years ago when we got our Service Dog Bunker. She LOVED him and must have felt very safe with him because her whole personality changed that day. She would not shy away from others and became quite social. For the last 3 years she shared her affection with our home stay students, visitors and other pets too.
Sister left us on March 10, 2026 with loving assistance to ease her pain after declining in health quickly.
Her absence is felt strongly in our home. We will miss her and never forget this special little girl.
