We rescued Layla from a no-kill shelter where she had lived for two years. Due to health issues and being a Pit Bull she was overlooked time and again. We brought her home and soon learned that she loved zoomies around the backyard.
She rolled on her back in the grass, soaked up the sun, and dug in the dirt.
She covered my husband’s bald head with kisses.
She would give us the stink eye if we stayed in bed too long.
She loved to go for a walk, until she didn’t want to walk any further, usually as far from the house as possible because she was a goofy girl who liked it when she got a ride home.
She was sweet and gentle.
She will always be loved and greatly missed.
